I posted along time ago about Zyra who I keep finding at the top of the search engine results. This person's web site is like no other affiliate site but I am sure they are making mega-bucks. Last time I spoke with Zyra by email contact, he was on the verge of death apparently after the shock of a tax demand. The way he presents his material is an act of brilliance like the challenge to affiliate companies evaluating his site, the browser compatibility check using a banana and orange. And no copyright, pivacy policy etc. in sight.

Wouldn't it be great to get this guy on the forums?

I have no affiliation with this guy but I regard his/her? site as an essential learning resource: http://www.zyra.org.uk

I just checked the site index, there are 8437 pages  Shocked

Not an overly attactive page, but if it is all over the search engines, they are probably making money.

Yeah not an impressive layout. But if they are making money then that's the important thing.  they have a good page rank though.

The appearance of the page is of little importance, the attractiveness to search engines and the content is most important. People search for information, land on a page with the information they searched for and click on links, it's as simple as that. They don't evaluate the color scheme or fonts straight away, they are looking for answers to their question  Wink

I always have the fond memory of one of the worst pages I ever designed that got me $100 from a single click  Grin

It was very focussed on ink cartridge refills with almost no formating code. The vistor clicked on my affiliate link and bought a huge amount of ink generating me around $100 in commission  Grin
