Grin I'm sorry! It's almost mean of me to post this when I know nothing about it ,but it is so pretty! Grin Grin Grin This was sent to a forum member of another forum by a friend and she knows nothing about it either.

We have the lovely colored ones in Oregon also, but have never seen a white one. It seems almost angelic!

I know that several zoos around the world have these white birds.  They are amazing to look at. I believe the tulsa zoo has a pair of white and several pair of colored. They are a very majestic bird.

I've seen white peacock in Yalta, although it was far away and I had to use zoom in order to get his photo, his tail also didn't get in the picture, so I post it only for the reason to prove that they are also residing in Crimea Wink

BTW very gorgeous bird.

Denis, love the pic (also the Rosie 0ne) it is very unusual to be able to catch them sitting down, once you get close they seem to want to take off......As Chris says, here we have many coloured ones, so these pics are beautiful to see.....I wonder if they are just 'white' or maybe albino ones?  What ever they are, they are certainly 'angelic' looking...

I think they are albino, but I can't be sure. To see the colored and the white together is just amazing.

not exactly what you was asking, but both peacocks are presented on this shot Smiley I've made mistakes metering exposure by colored peacock and didn't think that white one would be burned out(I was very limited on time and have to run for my group so didn't have time to thought about this) but I decide to leave this photo as my girl find it interesting.

Wow! Those are great photos. This is the first time I have ever seen a white peacock, even in photo form. Very beautiful. Thanks Denis and Rosie for sharing.

Dennis, yours was just as beautiful. it just wasn't showing it's feathers as clearly. They are a beautiful bird no matter how their tail is displayed.

Thanks Heidi! for me most beautiful part of the peacock is tail which was closed when I made the photo, that's why I don't like my shots.

I did a bit of research on these birds. They are not albino. The are a version of the peafowl.
