Computer giving problem due to long term usage, viruses or spywares? I've written a guide with recommended products for those who wants to have a trouble-less computer, as well as a downloadable PDF version for those who would like to help their friends as well.

I would be careful of half the products discussed on this page. Please read completely before downloading any software that is meant to help your computer. Many are a form of spyware themselves. Many others actucally cause your computers to run slow and conflict with other software.

While the premise behind the advise is good, just be sure you read up on the software. There are many consumer sites that can tell you the pros and cons of these software.

Thanks for the word of caution. Being a IT support guy myself, I've tested most of the software mentioned before making the recommendation. Please let me know if you encounter any product that has a built-in spyware, I would be glad to take it out.

I have not tested the software. This was a general warning about software more than anything else. There are so many "spyware removal" software out there that is nothing more than spyware itself. There are other software programs that are meant to help your computer that do nothing helpful, but are extremely harmful.

I just want people to be aware there are these kinds of programs. I have spent far too many hours cleaning this crap off computers.

I understand your situation. I've gone passed that stage myself too.  Wink
I've many friends dependent on me to help solve their pc problems. Hence, I would also be pretty cautious not to add to the existing trouble that they are already in.  Cheesy
