That is not a problem, there may be someday. Not all Harley Riders are Computer G33ks ya know? Only at my Hangout I guess. All I was wondering was if there may be some over that great Pond ya know what I mean? Thanks for letting me post here anyways.

A friend of mine in Canada, I call Little Angel just bought her first Bike, a Honda 650 Shadow and she is learning just today how to ride it. Her sons age 15 and 17 have different views on this subject. She has not said what her Hubby has said yet, LOL

Talk to her at  http://buckletree.us/yabbse/index.php/index.php?board=12;action=display;threadid=2827

You will like her. She is from Saskatchewan Canada, tell her oohdale sent you.

Tommy,

I'm a bike rider, but I'm into Japanese sports bikes (since I'm in the speed-crazed UK), in order of ownership:

suzuki ap50, Yamaha gp125, honda cj250, honda cb250n, honda cb400n, kawasaki gpz900r, no bike years following buying house etc. then kawasaki gpz900r again, finally honda cbr600fx

If I was to buy an american bike I'd get a Buell since these are light and fast. I imagine the harley is good for the social scene and the cruising down the long open roads, but for us people in the stressed urban jungles, we need adrenalin rush and wheely-popping, tyre-smoking, eyeball-popping acceleration to relax at the end of a long hard day in the office  Grin

Senso mentioned at some time the bad roads in his area, in this instance i'd recommend maybe a KTM which are cool off-road bikes/super-moto bikes.

At the end of the day, all bikes are really good fun and everyone should experience them.

Yes that would be interesting, but you may be suprised as to how bad our inner city roads are and they even add many speed humps to make them worse. The "freeway" style roads outside town are generally much better so you can "nail it" as we say here in the uk.

during my stay in Europe and later in U.A.E. I haven't seen such bad rouds as in our country even in outer parts of the city, but maybe I wasn't looking in the right place...

Denis, all cities have bad roads. In my area, we have roads that have potholes that are sometimes 2 ft wide and about 6 inches deep. We have roads so bad when you drive down them, you get flat tires. That is not the majority, but is is common. In the winter it is worse than the summer, but we have them in the summer too.  Each community around here has a website where you can submit a request for repairs to the roads.

Man I am jealous, for two reasons. You are going to OK. I love it out there. My son lives there with his dad.

Second reason is you are going to a bike rally.

have fun, ride safe and stay out of trouble, or at least don't get caught.
