Without revealing where you did it, I thought it would be fun to describe what speed you have achieved on land and with what vehicle except aircraft.

Use this link  for conversion: http://www.cosportbikeclub.org/misc/MileToKmConv.html

I did 110 MPH (177kph) on a Honda 750 at Donnington park race track in the '80s during a Honda test day. You just turned up on a moped and selected the bike you wanted to ride. Strangely, they don't do these days anymore?? I have to admit struggling to control the thing. At least I didn't drop it like most of the other moped riders. OK, I admit it, I didn't turn up on a moped, it was a 250 superdream. But, I'm pretty sure that all you needed was a licence and helmet. They had the 6 cylinder CBX there that day too.

After this, I found dealers had bike test days. I tried a Yamaha 1300 but we were restricted by a lead bike. I had to settle for enjoying the torque overtaking a car and watching my brother wheel-spin a 750 on a bend and come very close to binning a brand new bike on a low-speed bend.

I test drove a Kawasaki GPZ900R (an Isle of Mann TT winner) and failed to keep up with the other people as I eased off at 135MPH (217kph) around a bend because I was worried about hitting the ditch. I never understood why I couldn't keep up with the others.

After some years and crashing a second GPZ900R, I was persuaded to get a small bike and got a Honda CBR600F Ultima Lite. It was nice and comfortable as the wind whistled overhead and I glanced down to see 140mph(225kmh).

my highest speed looks funny comparing to yours Wink I don't drive cars so the highest speed I manage to ride my bicycle was 33 Kph (20.5Mph) if my memory doesn't fail me. The highest speed in the car I've ride on was in U.A.E., we drive on some speed road in the night through the "desert" (at one side of it are situated small cottages and other buildings) and speed was 150 Kph(93Mph) it was cool feeling actually but road was very smooth not like in our area where you hardly could achieve more than 100 Kph...

i've done 135mph driving in my old 89 mustang. I've gotten up to about 180mph or so riding twice, once in a jaguar xk8, and once in a porche 911 turbo.

My current car(95 camaro) cuts itself off at 110mph, i am sure i've maxed that out before. I slowed down a whole lot though, I rarely get more than 10mph over the speed limit

I was clocked at 150 miles per hour in a 1967 Buick Riviera and didn't get a ticket since the officer decided I had an acceptable reason. I was chasing another car that was throwing bottles out of his window at other cars. They arrested him instead.

When I was living in germany I had the thrill of driving with my ex at about 130mph. That was fun. Here in the states I have gone 100 mph, just don't tell the local police as they might have a problem with my speed.

Your local police probably won't understand MPH :-) So you are OK.

LONG time ago? Come on Joe, you can't be that old. Wait, maybe I am that old and just don't want to admit that I remember things a LONG time ago.

Well, considering my oldest will be 10 in August and next year will be my 20th high school class reunion, yeah, I'm getting old.  Last night was my son's first baseball practice.  I am the head coach so I was running one of the drills.  I am so sore today that I probably look like Frankenstein.

Joe, I am facing my 20 yr reunion this summer. My son will be 17 this year. The way I look at it, you are not that old. After all, if you are, then that makes me old and I refuse to be old.
