Just curious! ;)I have been selling on Ebay for about 4 years and sales have been really hard to come by in the last 6 months or so. I am probably going to go back to live antique shows etc...

Postage is part of the problem with online auction, but still, I have done ok until recently and it just seems I can hardly sell anything!

Anyone else having problems?

Are you setting a reserve and people aren't bidding that high or isn't anyone bidding at all ?

I thought it was just me... But yes, I have been having great difficulty with eBay lately. Infact, business has been so poor that I'm looking for an alternative source of income and selling out the rest of my stock. It's just not what it used to be.

To 12 noon: No I don't usually sell with a reserve and have even been listing things at lower price than I would have 6 months ago , but hardly even getting any hits to the item pages and unless I am totally selling something at a loss not getting any bids at all.

To Tamuril, Sounds like you are feeling the same thing I am. I do pretty well at local shows, but it is so much easier to sell online that I haven't done a show for a while now.

I have decided toquit  auctioning for a while because I am just paying auction fees for nothing and/or selling things for less
than I could locally. Not glad you aren't doing well either , but kindof good to talk to another dealer about this! Wink

Hey rosie, likewise Wink

I have changed my forum name a few times, you probably knew me before as Retro-Teknix or articutis.

Anyway, I decided the only way I would do eBay again is if I found something popular at a really good price (Like sometimes department stores put hardware and appliances on sale for dirt cheap, that's the only way I make money anymore). But it's difficult to come across these types of deals, and it's definitely not stable income.
