Hmm... Well, we have several new active members you haven't met yet, and we've added some extra boards...

I was out of town for several months due to family health troubles, but everything seems to be getting better and I'm able to attend Webmaster Key regularly again.

I made my new web site, but once again, it's a pointless art site that I do not make any profits from... It's basically for my own personal satisfactory and for fun to share with others, if you know what I'm talking about. I do get nice visitor feedback and everyone seems to be enjoying it, which I'm happy about.

I plan on selling prints and doing license work, but I'm still working on getting content up. I also have other things going on right now, so there's not a lot of time for business-oriented work.

My new name is the Sindarin equivalent of Rachel. Forgive me for my interest in fantasy and celtic mythology, but I thought the name sounded mystical. Besides, it fits in with my Welsh ancestory.

Also, I'm not married... If I went by Rachel Powell, I would have to change my domain and artist name to fit in with my new legal name. This is, of course, hoping that I ever get married. With Tamuril, I never have to change my domain or artist name. I will always be just "Tamuril".

I remember you telling me you were going to get engaged, but I didn't know you had. Congrats! Have you guys decided a date for the wedding? Or have you not gotten that far yet?

ah, probably may 20th 2006. that is pretty much when we decided. Of course if it was up to me i would do it tomorrow, she is the one who wants to wait a while. I don't understand the point in waiting more than a year, but who knows. it is beyond my control

Hmm... Well, I personally have no idea. I noticed that many couples wait about a year after engagement to have the wedding... That's the way it works sometimes. Maybe some already married people on this site have a better idea of why people wait before the wedding.

I loved it, and many of them will too. Too late to see it all tonight here in Missouri but I will get back there soon. And I will be sending your url to many of my friends that collect wallpaper too. I guess some of us are just Graphic minded. It has been so long since I been here, I about forgot about this site. I been a member here for ages but just been too busy to get back here. L8R oohdale

hi Tommy! nice to see you back, I haven't seen you in ages, so it's good to see again on board.
whats going on around here lately?
Rachel already told in general about what's happening here, but from my side I also can add that run in the family problems for several months and didn't have much time to take active part in the community so it's only survived thanks to our Team! Anyway now we seems to sort out a bit our lifes and could start contest to bring a bit of fun in our forum's activity Wink
And once again, Greg, congratulations with your wedding, wish you long and happy family life!

I plan on selling prints and doing license work, but I'm still working on getting content up. I also have other things going on right now, so there's not a lot of time for business-oriented work.
Rachel, I didn't know about this, can you tell if you're going to sell only your printouts or maybe you could also sell mine photos for some fee(of course check the CD I've mentioned to you first and decide whenver any of them worth to be sold:P )? as I've think about this long ago but as usually still don't have time to start dealing this.

Well Greg, it really is you....Good to see you, also congratulations on becoming engaged...nice one Grin Grin
And Tommy, its great you're with us again.......good  to see you Grin
Rachel, I have no idea why people wait for a while to become married after being engaged.....Maybe, just maybe, once they have 'engaged' themselves to each other (and NOBODY else is supposed to interest them) right? it may be so they can save up for  "together" things needed for the wedding, independantly...as in wedding place, suits, wedding dress, and all the beautiful things they would jointly decide on, I guess for the theme of wedding.....Good question......why does there always have to be an engagement?Huh?(j/k) Grin Grin

Well, I had several ideas planned. One of them was to submit my high res artwork to http://www.webshots.com/ for license work (You could look into details there, maybe you could submit some of your photos too), but my other idea was to sell prints of my artwork on the page my art was displayed. The other idea I had was to start a free clipart/stock photography site where small images could be downloaded for free and large images could be purchased for a fee. I would place Google AdSense ads on the site to draw in some money as well. The only reason I think I could get this to work is because I could create some NICE clipart for a change. Some of these clipart sites are either full of garbage ads, or full of garbage clipart.

If I did start the clipart site, I would be glad to offer small version of your photos free (If you would agree to that) and give you payment for the large versions people purchase. Anyway, I'm not sure when or if I'm going to go through with any of those plans... I was going to see how school and other things progressed this year before I got into anything too deep.

well there are several reasons why we are waiting over a year to do it. First it does take a little while to get everything together, she wants at least 4 or 5 months. However she is going to med school in the fall so it is a little hard to get married while she is going to school. So at first we decided december, but she decided after a while that she didn't want a winter wedding, so it became march over her spring break because that was the next pause in classes we would have. But either we wouldn't get a honeymoon or she would have no time right before the wedding to do anything. So now it is may after she gets out for the year. I hope this one works out ok, I am not sure if i can take waiting any longer.
