I guess this is as good a place to dump this as any. Couldn't find a spot that looked appropriate, so here goes.

I have set up some how-to / infomational sites that cover a variety of subjects that may be of interest, particularly to those just getting started with e-commerce sites. The titles should explain their use. They include:

http://www.ad-tracking.info

http://www.sales-tracking.info

http://www.web-site-visitor-tracking.info

I plan on adding more subjects in the near future.

I would welcome input and comments on the usefulness of these articles. Enjoy

Regards,

WTG

I got a bit of flack on these from other sites. Some thought they were too self-promotional. So I made some changes to the design and removed everything I thought was to spammy. They are just meant to be informational, with no promotion. I do have some Google ads to help defray the costs of the site, however. If you have any comments that might help me improve them, please let me know. Thanks.

Regards,

Will

Hi Will,

yes you can expect a lot of flack for your pages.  Cheesy

The problem is that your website doesn't look like a website. It's more like an eBook with attached ads.

The easiest thing you can do is at least add a nice logo/banner to the top of the page.

Then you need to add some site navigation links.

Also you need to add some big bold text describing what people will learn from your website right at the top so they will not click away.
