Hi

I am Phil and I live in the UK, in the High Peak which is in Derbyshire. From here I run a few sites that do moderately well. The websites I run are really a hobby that turned p/t business. I still have a day-job and the reason for participating in forums is I want as much information as I can acquire to help my sites do well enough so I can give up the day job  Grin

I run a finance site, a shopping directory and a mobile phone site. I am not sure I should post the url's as I have only made a small number of posts,

Anyway, looking forward to participating.

Cheers
Phil

Hi Phil,

I am from the UK too!

There is an issue here on Weblamp about people being too keen to post links without contributing. What I do is to post informative stuff and include my links in my profile/signature which seems to work quite well and your posts don't get binned or deleted. Also, it's much more fun to do it this way. I found I got usefull extra traffic to my site via my weblamp posts.

btw. I just got a flag that SensoVision has posted 2 related posts which must be of interest.

Wow - what a responsive place this is... thanks for all your welcomes guy's... I expected to wait a while for replies but wow that was quick... expect to see quite a few posts with the username quote-engine... I love the community thing and where I can I will be contributing. I do not have knowledge of ringtones or logos etc, my site is mobiles and accessories, it is a white label of the ukphoneshop.com - www.mycoolphone.co.uk - and this site will get a face lift by next weekend with a super cool new template.

Glad to be here

Phil

Message to Andy

Have you heard of 'stoozing' ? if not there is good content I can forward to you to place on your http://www.cashpile.co.uk/ site. This is a way of using a 0% credit card and transferring a balance into a high interest bank account to earn the interest - it is a way of making a credit card pay - good content if you want to include something like that..

Cheers
Phil

Hi

Decided to come back to this forum as I think it looks like there is some good conversations going on... updated all my sites since I was last here, so I will be looking into SEO techniques to give them the best chance at success. I want to increase traffic to the sites, at the mo I get a reasonably constant 200 unique visitors to ukshopsnet.com and a constant 70 at mycoolphone.co.uk - I want to double or triple these figures. That is where I'll need help

Cheers
