Web Design is best done in Photoshop. Development is best done in Dreamweaver.

Hay, I have used many and find Dreamweaver the best for me. Here are some others you may want to try.

Webmatrix - Microsoft | http://www.microsoft.com/MSPress/books/6388.asp
HTMLkit - Chami | http://www.chami.com/html-kit/
CodeCharge - Yes Software | http://www.yessoftware.com/products/product.php?product_id=1
Web Studio 4.0 - http://www.webstudio.com/

DW with a good stylesheet editor. I find DW's CCS editor a little cramped.

I think a webpage like http://www.christinaaguilera.com/home.html is a challenge for most people to create. But maybe it is easy using Dream Weaver + Flash?

For starters, I'd like to make an audio playback button to give a similar audio loop. Is it easy or should I stick to text?

these days I'm used to edit pages with Screem(free HTML editor, not sure if it's exists for windows as well), previously I've used built-in Mozilla editor although I've found Screem more user friendly.

Well it is free to download and use, but this is directly from the above site.

Note: WebPage is save-disabled until you register it.

You can use it all you want, but you can't save it until you give them all kinds of information? In order to download this, you have to provide them with your email address. It doesn't say anything about not sending out unwanted emails or ways to remove yourself from their mailing lists.

I can't recommend anything beyond DreamWeaver. I know that Adobe makes their own HTML Builder called "Adobe PageMaker", but I have never tried it and no little about it in the first place.

What I said about Trellian WebPage was not a direct quote from the Trellian website, at least I couldn't find it. But I must admit it sure does sound like it should have been.    Grin You see it is just what popped into my head about the program. I registered Trellian WebPage and all they wanted was my name and an email address. I haven't seen any indication that they sell or give away the email addresses and they have this (Note: Your details will be kept confidential.) posted on their download page. Also I have received very few emails from them over the years mostly in response to my asking a question. of course if you are really concerned about it you can always create a short time address with hotpop or some other service and use it just to get your registration number. In my opinion they just use the email to verify how many people are using their software.
