While I'm not a religious person, I've always been respectful of others beliefs. I almost fell over when I got this spam mail.

My Lordship/Friend,

am willing to donate the sum of $3.000,000.00 Million US Dollars to

church/Ministry for the development of evangelism and also as aids for
the
less privileged around you.

Please note that, this fund is lying in a Security Company in Holland
and the company has branches, therefore my lawyer will file an
immediate application for the transfer of the money in the name of your
ministry.
Please, do not reply me if you have the intention of using this fund
for personal use other than enhancement of evangelism.

Lastly, I want you/your ministry to be praying for me as regards my
entire life and my health because I have come to find out since my
spiritual birth lately that wealth acquisition without! Jesus Christ in

I get several versions of this each month. Every single one has the word nigeria in it.

It is such a same that they have not brought religion into these scams. There is so little respect left in the world today.

I had a spam today outlining how profitable it is to spam. I have to say though that spam email is much less disruptive to my everyday life than cold callers at the door of my home. Thankfully, in the UK some laws were passed to stop random calls to our home phones which used to be a regular disruption to my evening meal.

Phone solicitors make my day,  If I'm in a seriously bad mood, theres nothing like getting a call from one to pick me up.......Heres what you do.

When they say who they are and what they want, stop them mid speech and ask for their name...when they give it...say "No, I want your last name too"

then let them start again, and stop them and ask for their number.  When they start to give you the work #, stop them and say  "No, I want your home #"

When they ask why, tell them you want to call them at home, just like they are doing to you.......this work even better, when you haev a second phone, and call and ask for the person, and they say wrong #, you can call them a liar.

BTW sometimes I'm really glad to live in Ukraine, we don't have any adverts coming to post box and don't have people calling by phone and trying to sell something, I can't even imagine how people in other countries could live with them

My favorite is when they call, start listening to them, then say, "can you hold on one moment?" Then walk away from the phone and leave them there. Go back like 20 min or an hour later and see if they are still there.

There are some people who are pretending that they collect money for orphanage or such things and it's very funny when you say that yout aunt is working at this place, and tha she had told you that they don't collect money this way

They will wait only a short time. They are usually paid by how many conversions they have. So they cannot wait for long. You will be put back into the system and they will call later.

Unfortunately Dennis there are several thousand highly trained sales people waiting to knock on your door during peak rest hours as soon as the Ukraine joins the EU. They are more highly trained, hardened by their experiences in the west and desperate for sales as ever. Be warned! Every form of direct marketing will be used.

if you think that people who work in Europe now could work in Ukraine they should learn first Ukrainian or at least Russian, otherwise noone would understand them
BTW I really doubt that Ukraine would join EU during my liftime...

Language is not a problem! As soon as money-laden tourists from the West turn up at your country desperate to buy merchandise and property to avoid being taxed to death in their home land in retirement, you will quickly learn to speak English! Just like residents of Costa del sol (spain), Goa (India), well just about everywhere that is low cost living. Many people in Budapest speak English and it's just a matter of time until some property investors come knocking on your door to re-develop your place into a british retirement property.

hehe we don't have lowest cost living, e.g. our mobile operators have most expensive rates in Europe
Also please note that after xUSSR our country decide to make Ukrainian as a primary language(previously it wasn't commonly used here), many years have passed but only few parts of Ukraine are using Ukrainian and most people are still use Russian instead
