I've just bought a pocket PC and wondered if anyone else has one and if so, what do you use it for ?

I've no idea why i wanted one and only bought it because it was very cheap on ebay and it came with lots of software and bits and bobs.

I'd like any advice on what to do with it and what you can do with them ?

I would have gone for one of the newer ones, but i wasn't sure why i wanted one in the first place. I just did !
Anyway i was playing with the bluetooth last night trying to work out how to get on the net with the iPaq, but just couldn't work it out. It kept wanting a phone number and i'm on cable.

there are two ways to do this, just connect to your PC through ActiveSync via Bluetooth(I assume that you wish to connect your iPaq to PC and take internet from there am I right? or you wish to connect it to mobile phone?) and check that ActiveSync could share Internet with devices connect to it. Or you could create Bluetooth network and get internet or even access to your PC folders as well(Haven't try it myself as I'm on Linux for a long time but I've friend who did this). Let me know what kind of problems you have and what steps you take to get internet working, and I'll try to help you our(if my memory allow me to do this Wink  )

Well, i've set  up a bluetooth network that lets me transfer files and stuff, but i can't get on the net. I can't do email or use internet explorer.
 Embarrassed
I've just downloaded something called IPmgr and i think using that instead of the pocket windows one might be better for me. I'll let you know how i get on.
 Wink
BTW i don't want to use my mobile phone with the pocket pc because i don't like the idea of the phone bill i could end up running up.

If you have a wireless router at home, buy a SDIO WLAN card. Very easy to install and connect to the internet
