I'm looking for a news script that can easily be customixed to have features seen at www.girlsaloud.org . You can see how it works there, but I'll explain here too.

Basically I need to be able the set categories such as 'News' and 'Updates.' And you can choose to show all posts, just updates or just news etc...

On the main page each DAY will have a box as shown there and any news or updates from that day will be made inside the table. So if you look at the second update down there are two different bits - REQUEST and UPDATE. Say these were posted at different times on the same day, they would still appear in the same table. Although as you can see I have two tables for today, so we'll see.

Also, when posting news I would like to have the short story placed in the box with a read more button to take you to the full story.

If you click 'NEWS' on that sites menu, you will see the list of articles which are in the 'news' category (not the 'updates' category or anything - just news) and they are organized into the different months. If you click the headline then you are taken to the full story.

You get the idea?

I currently do everything manually and I was just wondering whether there was a way to do it automatically, so it would automatically generate the full story, the headlines ist and the front page, so I don't have to repeat it all.
Do you know of any sites which have a similar script, or one that I could possibly use?
