So what is your favourite or most used Instant messenger. I'm a register with AIM, Odigo, ICQ(my favourite probably) and MSN. There is a lot of people and some of them use different IMs. My second favourite is Odigo as it's incorporate access to it's own network and also to your account on MSN, AIM, ICQ, and Yahoo, so I don't need to run all these programs simultaneously.
Please write what is IM your prefer to use and why?

Yeah old windows client of Odigo was extremily unstable but new 3.6 Alpha version is very stable in my opinion... I run it for almost week and didn't experience any crash in the meantime old version would crash almost every one hour or even less... I advice you to upgrade it now;) http://www.odigo.org/

Hello,
Yes, I use ICQ Lite.  I don't really know anything about the others.  I find that there are no "let downs" with it, and it seems to be perfectly functionable for whever I need. For the little needs I have 8)However, I must (being naturally curious) Grin have a look at this one. Wink

I use MSN, Aim, Yahoo, ICQ and IRC but I would still have to go with MSN as it has the biggest following in New Zealand.

Trillian is a great program to use all of these at once... http://www.trillian.cc  Roll Eyes

indeed I try to use Trillian myself and it's okay... I use it for all messengers except ICQ, for ICQ I use small program &RQ which use ICQ network, and help me to save on bandwaith and therefore my cash;) it don't display any banners and also have very useful feature for me, when I talk with several peoples simulteneously using different languges this program rember the languge I use in each window so I don't need to switch all the time keyboard layout as in ICQ.

I use AIM because I'm in HS and most kids use AIM

but i upgraded it with Aimutation; www.aimutation.com
it's really cool, it changes skins and removes ads, it also can tab IMs and more. only problem is that it sometimes is unstable and errors the gui.exe thing or w/e it is.. Sad

maybe it's cuz i got windows ME (shite, i know..)

hi LpPunkSkater and welcome to our community! thx for telling about aimutation I'll bookmark and will check it when have some spare time, I've use similar program for some time called AIM+ but don't use it currently. asd for AIM errors it could be ME but it could be AIM network which is famous to change data stream along it to crash all non-original AIM clients.

I prefer trillian. It makes life easier and my task tray cleaner. I run icq, aim, yahoo, msn and irc all day at work, so one progam is so much easier to use.
