have seen a lot of them old days but never bookmared any since I see no need for them. But now when I've switched to Debian, I realize that it would be good to check PR of the sites from time to time under Linux, and do small search.
I've found these two sites:
http://www.pagerank.net/pagerank-checker/
http://www.freelance-help.com/google-ranking-report/page-rank.php - this one seems to provide much more accurate results even for pages in sub-categories
maybe someone know more tools for doing this? would be interested to check them out.

BTW if you're PR obsessed maybe it's time to check this thread.

SensoVision, you are the man! This Google PageRank Checker you provided (second one) is great resource for people who use Mac (like me) and for those who doesnt have or dont want to have Windows/Internet Explorer/Google Toolbar. Results are more than accurate... where did you get it?

Once again I have to say - PAGERANK IS NOT THE WAY TO TOP RANKINGS!!!

Get good inbound links
Have good quality information on your site
Link to relivant sites

That is the key. It isn't a matter of checking your page rank. My page rank bounces all the time, but my rankings to not.

I wish more people would think like you. I'm so tired of being judged by my page rank; the fact that I have over 84,000 pages listed in 2 months and have good search results in hundreds of key words doesn’t seem to matter.

I am so tired of hearing about PR. PR has never been important. I think it is so funny that people are "buying" PR. All I care about is driving quality traffic to my clients. All they care about is revenue. If the revenue goes up, they are happy.

Hi Hoodlum, have no idea where I've found them, it was some forum probably or some site I've surfed in the past.

Hi Bruce and Heidi, sorry for upsetting you with new tools for PageRank, actually some folks are have to use them. e.g. I have to use it sometimes  simply because people I'm working with want something they can refer too and PR is one of such factors. On the good sidenote I've provided the link to this post http://forum.weblamp.net/index.php?topic=2353.0 at the bottom of my first message which should show the low importance of PR.

Also I think that as long as PR keep people at Google and wouldn't let it fall out of competition it's good thing, of course they shouldn't be in competition because of PR but relevant results.

I don't know how to get traffic from any site apart from Google. Hence PR is important to me. Is there life beyond Google?

There is a lot of life beyond Google. There is yahoo! Grin

PR does NOT drive traffic. So why does it matter?

It’s unfortunate but if you’re selling ad space PR is everything. Google has brainwashed webmasters. Try selling ad space on a low PR service. They don’t even ask for demographics anymore just your PR and how many links you can provide. “Total Stupidity”

It is amazing. They sure have a racket going. They are misleading these webmasters into thinking that PR equates to Traffic and Rankings.

Top25Web.com is one of the better PR checking tools.

Prog is a search engine that displays Google results, but also displays the PR of each search result.

An excellent tool for tracking PR and SERPS over a long period of time is the DigitalPoint Keyword Tracker

Try this one http://rankwhere.com/google-page-rank.php
and if you need to see what a page result in google will look like try
this http://www.gritechnologies.com/tools/spider.go

To PR being a waist of time i disagree,to increase inbound links you need a good PR atleast PR4.Consider the fact that many search on google for URL's and click on the
link to option,if you happen to link to that URL and your PR is 4 and over then there is
a possible source of traffic.PR under 4 does not show in these results so it does make a
difference.
