I want to make a directory

Hi all,

I want to make a directory with less but quality links. Also I donot need to add all possible category during the first installation. I have added around 60 categories, rest I am expecting suggestion from the visitors.

Well first off, directories in the more general part, do not get used for ranks, I'm not saying it can't be done, but that is usually the way it goes.

I personally use directories for linking purposes, and that is the main use for them as I see.

As for PR, well lets not go down that road, I know what you are asking, but the only way to get PR is to get links for the site itself.

As such if a directory is new, you will probably get few submission first off, but if you submit to Directory Archives, ISEDB, and a fe others, this will gain some popularity to yours and start gaining some traffic and submission.

On a more personal note, if I find the directory useful and think that it has potental, and allows me to submit a handful of sites, I will add the directory to my own directory helping it out with a few links, as I have done with Sensovision here: Pharos Search

As per SEO help, again there is only so much you can do with a directory, the main thing is links.

As for if categories are well placed, well since I can only see the index page, so far, yes it looks well done.
