Hi all,

I am not use to oulook express, its been around 5 months I started using it, today morning I was able to send and recieve my emails but suddenly I am getting this error while sending mails. I am able to recieve the mails but cant send it. The error is

"The message could not be sent because the server rejected the sender's e-mail address. The sender's e-mail address was ''aji@xyz.com". Subject 'check', Account: 'pop.1and1.com', Server: 'smtp.1and1.com', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '530 Authentication required', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 530, Error Number: 0x800CCC78".

Please help me, this is bugging me, you can suggest me another forum, where I can get an answer to it.

Thanks
Aji

Sounds like a problem at 1and1.com
A friend uses 1and1 for his domain name and i signed in as him, to try and sort things out for him. All i can say is that i don't like 1and1 at all. It's now taken about 4 months trying to move his domain name to another hosting co.

Anyway, try using another email software program and see if you can send mail from that. If not then it must be 1and1.

Thanks all,

My problem is solved.

CAUSE: The "Outgoing Mail Server - My server requires authentication" is not selected.

SOLUTION: Selected this option on the Servers tab.

I downloaded a free version of eudora. All the problems went away, and some new features have just become necessities.
