Bad one: http://www.globat.com/  - tried to tell me I was getting 3 million hits a day and exceeding my bandwidth - no way was that possible (only in my dreams..lol).  Then they sent their "JUST UPGRADE!" pitch.  They also tried to tell me I was exceeding my storage - my site isn't even 50 MB's - that, too was impossible.  They were horrible in responding via e-mail - I finally had to telephone - long distance - and they weren't helpful on the telephone, either.  Just stuck to their, "Well, you need to upgrade because our logs show...(insert lies here)".   I left 8 months early, never got a credit, but made sure to cancel my account but "lo and behold" - 8-1/2 months later my credit card was billed for another year with them!  Luckily I had proof that I had cancelled and was able to get my credit back again.  Suffice it to say, I would avoid them at all costs as they are not trustworthy.  In addition, they abuse your credit card info with that little trick of trying to sneak in an automatic "renewal" by charging you - even when you haven't been using them for 8 months.

I also had addr.com at one time.  While the uptime was good and all that, their tech support was hell and as a newbie at the time, I found it very confusing.  I would only say that if you are really up on all the techy stuff they could be all right - and if you never need to contact their tech support, as they were awful in getting back to you . Many times I never did hear back and the few times I did they just said "Please refer to our online support system" - which was what I was having trouble understanding in the first place.

I use Globat five months already. So far so good. Their service is good. They spend two-three hours to help build my phpbb forum. Very appreciate to them.

Some companies have problems that don't effect everyone. However, in order to make an informed decission it is good to know that others have had this problem.

I run 2 sites on Globat now, they aren't the Best host in the world, but their space and pricing is unbeatable, their support is slow and often needs to be handled by a WEB ADMIN, but overall I'm happy with them  you get SOOOO much you can run PHPbb and they have a built-in Coppermine Photo Gallery.  their Stats are awesome, no need to download log files, and they are always improving.

Yes I agree that most of the support at globat is handled by web admin since their online chat operator is not very skilled  in technical issues, adn I won't expect him to be,since most of the questions in live chat are newbie questions, so they won't pay for an expert to handle newbie question.
Using mail support, most problems are usually solved within 1 day
