Hi,
Used to, when running Win9x, have to format at least 3 times a year. It seemed something always was not right Sad
Since using XP, about once a year! Its a far more stable OS, IMO. I use XP 'Home' by the way Smiley

When I was running Win9x I would reinstall all the time. It was a nightmare. I now run Win2K and love it. It is so much more stable.

I also run a linux box and that is great.

It isn't a hardware issue, it is a software issue Denis. There is something that doesn't like your OS. If you are running Win 9x and any older Netscape, you will have all kinds of problems. There are a lot of programs that have problems with Win9x.

thanks to Debian, I don't have to reinstall it anymore, I'm usingit for around 3-4 months and I don't see it to slow down. Also if I need to reinstall it shouldn't take me more than half an hour or so, as all my settings and documents are stored in separate partition and after installing the system it will be ready for use(no additional software need to be installed or extra settings applied).

Re 6,507,482 minutes remaining.

I think we got tired of waiting and re-booted. The file wasn't worth the wait.
