Well it's 2:50AM here and I just got my computer back up and running, it started acting up last night and around 10 this morning I started a virus scan (trend micro) it just finished about 20 minutes ago.......I lost a whole day due to a virus, The scan called it "PE Parite.A"

I know this hasn't got anytrhing to do with Doom, (I don't think) but I thought I would let everyone know...... it infected about 15,000 files. A lot of my progams wouldn't work, and I kept getting a "Low Virual Memory" Warning. So far seems my puter is back to normal.

seems that MyDoom is almost under control now as appear from this article

By the way check what's saying security experts from M$:
"You are more likely to have seen the worm in newspaper headlines than in your e-mail inbox."
not sure where he found this info but I've got at least 7 mails with virus and my friends also got some in their boxes... so maybe they are wrong about situation as well and it's not under control at all...

I heard, on Tech TV, that this virus was still running rampant for personal users, and they weren't going to assess total damages until Feb 12th - not sure what that means exactly, but I'd be very, very careful.  I got it through a zip file from my new employer - someone there must have gotten infected.  Then when I got it, it immediately sent itself to everyone in my address book and started eating up my computer - arg.  It's nasty, all right.

Never say never, my friends!  I'm so careful with these things but  I got hit, so you just never know...
