AdSense provides matching ads by checking page's content, SO if a page is already indexed in Google, then I presume AdSense displays matching ads and no ads for non-profit-organizations.

I recently implemented a new module, and whenever I go there, I don't see any matching ad it's probably because Google has not indexed that module yet, and I understand that.  BUT the index page does not display any matching ad, either.  The index page has the same file/url name since the site launched and it also has PR 5 according to Google Toolbar, but since the page is not displaying any matching ad, I have to assume that the index page is not indexed.  What is going on here?  I'd appreciate any help.

Never mind; apparently Google checks where code is placed, checks the content and serves matching ads.  Index page has matching ads now and also new module that, I thought, was not indexed is also showing matching ads.  Apparently, SEO for Google does not exactly affect AdSense directly.

sorry WR, I didn't spot your message in time. Google and AdSence using different spiders so they not affect each other in any way. that's why your ads wasn't related from the beginning. I don't remeber name of AdSence spider but it also has different name...

Thanks Denis,

I understand that now and it explains why AdSense took a short while to start displaying proper ads.

Adsense is a program that boosts income for your website, & it is has no relation with rankings at all.

Google spiders only index web pages according to the number and quality of inbound links pointing to your site in terms of internal linking or directory listing, or one way links as such links are optimized if SEO keywords are used in anchor text.

Only one way links from one trusted PR5 (or above) site and your site will be indexed within week.Adsense or any other advertisement program have absolutely  nothing to do with SEO, optimising or ranking on SE.

Where is the evidence for that statement?

Why wouldn't google rank sites higher that generate them money for example? After all they like making billions of dollars  Wink

I'll contradict that. I'll get sites indexed in two days using resources others warned me about, while they are left licking their wounds wondering why they can't get indexed.

You should be careful about getting indexed too quickly. It's not fair on other webmasters  Cheesy

I've had sites get indexed in a matter of a day or 2 without doing anything special (not always). Of course i use navigation that connects all pages together and when I build a new site I almost always place a link to it from one or more of my other sites. I guess the bots could be following these links and finding the new site this way.

That's exactly what I do since it is a sure fire way to get a new site crawled quickly. I guess they pay alot of attention to a new link they find on an otherwise fairly static page.

An interesting problem I had recently was how to get my static home page crawled. On one of my sites I had not changed the home page for maybe 1 year but the inner content was changing and getting crawled alot. Then I decided to regularly update the home page but found that the search engine bots were not visiting it. I already have links to the url of my site and didn't want to link to the index page file directly for seo reasons.

But, after about a week I noticed Googlebot eventually crawled the home page again. But MSN bot has still to crawl it. I am not sure about other bots.
