want to add to a conversation you were having with them? I am not quite familiar with the workings of posting on this forum yet. From what I can see you can post to the topic of the thread and to the last posted post, but not to the people inbetween. Am I making much sense LOL!????I was having a conversation with 12noon yesterday and wanted to let him know where I am at in the jungle I am climbing through, but cannot see how to address to him?Huh??

To talk to someone who's not the last post, you can click the QUOTE link at the side of the person you want to talk to.
 Wink
BTW i'll go look in the general forum and as Susieq has just said.

Hi 12 noon! I don't know if I am doing this right. I did go to general but couldn't see how to write to someone unless they were the last post.I didn't really have to click the quote because you were the last post but did anyway, just for the experience. I haven't had time today and dreaded getting back into the website designing. I worked 4 or 5 hours with the fortune 3 software for store building. I found it to be too rigid and finally ended up decided I didn't like it and am going to start all over and look for new software. One thing I have  I am reaaaaaly confused by-I even have a cool logo and entered that into the software ,but when I thought I was pretty much done(enough to get an idea of what the big picture would be)the only thing that showed in the preview was the template and a few details .I guess I am still lost. I'll work on getting somewhere tomorrow and thanks and thank you SuzieQ too! rosie

Suzi,
Invaluable is right!!!!!I was so lost I realized I didn't even know what questions to ask!!!!Kind of reminds me of when I started Ebay.Well at the most lost period, since I have written to this forum, I have lived, ate and breathed getting my website. My house is a mess and my hubby's hoping I'll finish with my "project" soon! LOl!I have been totally engrossed in it since 5 this morning and just finished  at a little after midnite and have it submitted to some major and some minor search engines. I actually only have 1 item one there! LOl! Well , that's the easy part!12noon was my angel! I tried one program he suggested and I didn't like it(I am sooo tired I can't remember the name of it)then went to bravenet -after MANY other downloads and tryouts, and I found my little niche and it's a done deal! I am sure , Now I will read your forum for info and advice and become a regular member. Thanks to all!rosie

Hello Rosie,

If I am understanding you correctly, you want to send a personal message to the person that has posted a message. There is a very easy way to do this.

All you need to do is click on the name of the person posting that you see on the left and you will be taken to thier profile. From there, scroll down to the bottom of the page and you will see a link that says "Send this member a personal message." Click that link and you will be able to send them a personal message. The message you send will be delivered to their Inbox and nobody else will be able to read what you sent them. You can also click the little scroll image under their name to go directly to your PM page to send them a message.

If you want your message to show up where the message is posted on the boards, simply click Reply to add your reply or Quote to have the post you want to quote included in your reply. Smiley
