I`d like to build a website with online games to play. But I`m still missing the main component: the games.

Can anyone help me find some free games I can use (since the whole thing is going to be non-proffit, I`d like to use ad-free games)

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for your help, Phoenix, I appreciate it, but that`s not quite what I had in mind, I want this site to be 100% add-free, I am not trying to make any profits from it. However, if there is no other solution, it will have to do.

Does anyone else have other solutions? Please help.

yes I understand... but you should than pay for games or find enthusiast who will code games for you... there is no other alternative IMHO... but I'll try to ask my friends and see if they don't know some place where free games could be obtained.

Before I forget: I checked out the link you gave me, but it`s pretty lame, I mean there are only 2 games to choose from and they take forever+1 day to load, at least on my connection.

Well, one thing`s for sure: I`m not going to buy the games I will use, as I am not planning on making any profits from the site (this is going to be just a test project, for me to see if I can do it). I can`t give money out and get nothing in return. Frankly, I can`t afford to pay 20-30$ per game - this  is quite a fair ammount of money in my country.

Hm. Maybe I can use javascript games, they`re not as spectacular as flash games, but pretty entertaining... I think, and THEY`RE FREE OF CHARGE

If anyone else has any other ideas, please don`t hesitate to post. Thanks  Grin

I would suggest you look over http://www.freeworldgroup.com/
They have a nice selection of games, I believe some of them are shockwave. I'm close friends with Frank (The owner), I know he spends a lot of time working with this stuff. Perhaps he would consider suggesting a few flash game sharing sites for you?

As far as javascript games are concerned... You could practically make your own if you wish.

Another thing you might want to do is check out a few personal flash designer's portfolios... Many of them like creating games, and you could always send them e-mails and ask them for permission to use these games on your website. I think at most they would ask for a text link back.

Hello matrics,

We have a couple games that you can use if you would like. They are free and no advertisements in them. A link back to our site would be nice though.

Click here to see game one. It's a flash lander game. Click here to see game 2 a flash python game.

As for how long it takes for games to load depends on the kind of connection you have to the internet. Flash can take awhile to load if there are a lot of images or sounds in the flash file. If you are on a dialup connection flash games will take awhile to load. The good thing about flash though is that once the file is loaded, it does not have to reload when changing between instances of the movie. Going back and forth between sections of the movie is almost instantaneous no matter if you are on dialup or broadband connection.

If you like th games, let me know and I will send you the files for you to use on your site. All material on our site is copyrighted so you may not use them on any other site except the one you mentioned above.
