I thought that such list could come in help to people who are looking for different forum software so here it's.
Original post could be found here I've only add SMF - http://www.simplemachines.org to this list since I've actively supporting it and believe it could be serious competitor on the market once it become avaiable publicly(which should happen really soon), if you looking for more info about converting your currnet messageboard check out this post which contain list of main features which already built-in into this software.
But returning to original topic, here is the list:

If you need a hand with any of the links, then give me a shout.
 Cool
I'm not sure, but some of the links might just take you to the homepage and you might have to search around for the forum software.

When I started out with my forum nearly 4 years ago now, I signed up with Forumer as I was attracted by the no advertising but sadly over time the server would keep crashing so I thought I'd do a quick search via Google and Forumotion.com was the first on the list. I'm quite glad I moved I must admit, there's a ton more things I can do with Forumotion that I couldn't do with Forumer and I like the fact it uses the latest version of Invision Power boards.
