Hi folks, recently as you know Rachel's dark theme logo win contest so now me and Rachel try to get some new colorsheme which would match this logo. It's kind of hard to get them right IMHO Undecided
We would like to listed your frank opinions on new site's layout, to know do you like it or not. Also we would like to know which colors irritate you or hard to read so we can do something about them. tell us your feedback on this matter.

Well, when I came onto the site I got quite a surprise Shocked
At first, I didn't like the dark background,  then while going through posts and things, I become easily more used to it Cheesy The text is easy to read, see and understand, the colours standing out on a dark background...don't really like the red its hard on my eyes a bit, but the orange and yellow are just fine  (for me anyway) Cheesy

And of course, the best thing is my logo is looking now looking really good with dark background Tongue so I'm happy Wink Grin
Now I'm over my surprise, yeah, I like Grin
Nice one Denis and Rachel Grin

Need time to get used to it, I guess? The black background is the only thing I would change! Just doesn't sit quite right with the colour theme to me. The rest of the colours look ok. Maybe try experimenting with lightening the background?? A dark blue or grey perhaps???
Then again, it may be I just dont like black backgrounds.....

yup I've try dark blue but it doesn't fit with some part of background on the logo so Rachel would need to change t in order we can try it. I also would vote for some lightening.

The fading effect is neat Smiley, glad you made the bottom links more readable! The whole sit looks a lot better than when I looked at it this afternoon Smiley

The word "Pages" at the top and bottom is very hard to read.... Looks like a greeny colour?? Something not right there?

I keep on changing links so sorry if you see some mess, just hit refresh after some moment and it would probably be fixed, but if not let us know this.

the 'reply', 'notify', send topic' and 'print' images seem to be a little jaggy! They must have been created with a white background. Dunno if you can fix this or its a part of the forum software? It no biggie, but worth a mention Smiley

sure we can fix it... actually I thought about creating custom button set but thought to wait till SMF... don't sure is there reason to wait for it since it will probably have same buttons and some new ones so we can later just create this new ones and use our set... yeah I think we need to create something which would match logo...

I really like the new colors, but as CoastPC said, the "reply", "notify", "send topic", and "print", looks like they were made for the old design. The borders of them looks like they still got some white on them. Also, the buttons below the logo ("home", "help",....) looked better on the old design. If you're gonna make new buttons, I'd suggest you make them so they fit with the theme of the logo.

Actually, why don't we address this after I'm completely done redesigning? I still haven't changed all the colours and such, so it's really hard to give advice when I'm not done with what I need to do.

Give me a few Wink

hehe I thought that yesterday you leave final version Grin so since it was hard to read I decide to make some changes and ask people before you appear.
BTW I like this boxes on background, good job!

PS need to catch you on ICQ when it's possible.
