Hi,

I'm the webmaster of a fly drive site for travellers to the USA from the UK.

My website is my hobby started because of my interest in holidays to the USA combined with my desire to learn HTML. I have 'hand written' the site as text files in Notepad and Wordpad. I know there are easier ways to do it, but I really want to know how things work.

Being a completely self taught amateur, I am always keen to learn and I hope membership of this forum will allow me to do just that.

Hi UK, and welcome to the community!
I'm a self-taught (amatuer) web designer as well, so I know how difficult some of these things are, including hard-coding.

Feel free to post whatever questions or concerns you may have, as there's a nice handful of friendly professionals on Webmaster Key that I know would be willing to help. Wink

Hi UK,

I'm also from the UK. I'm from a small rugby league playing town called "Castleford" in "West Yorkshire".

I think you'll enjoy your self on this forum because it's one of the best i've found on my travels around the internet. I've been on lots of bigger forums with lots more people, but for some reason this one has got me hooked.

hey UK .. welcome to the "nut house" ... Grin

I haven't been around much the last few weeks, been busy and all.  (Three cheers for all those low-lifes that like to release 'new' viruses -- especially when they really spread, make the news, and folks call me for help... lol)

Lookin forward to ya teachin us a few things here, I learned all my html stuff on my own as well, and the "self-taught" webmasters make the very best teachers.
